Nevertheless, when she sussed out that I was not going to stay no matter how much she begged and pleaded, she relented and made the decision to listen to the children audio books.

She actually truly enjoyed it. I like to think that she still likes the way I read more than she enjoys children books on cd, but I bet it's a close call. The children audiobook readers are awesome. My diction isn't bad, and I'm a pretty dramatic reader, but these are true skilled actors. Your average run-of-the-mill father just simply can not compete! Even though my daughter is still unhappy when I go out of town, the children books on cd make my trip just a bit easier on her. Both of us are very pleased about that.
