When Lois was in high school, she had acquired a reputation as a studious person who rarely, if ever, let her hair down by drinking with her buddies. After Lois graduated from high school, she applied to and was accepted into a well known program in sociology. Lois was the type of person who worked diligently to complete what she started and then would take a few days off when she could. Fortunately, Lois was not only "school smart" but she also possessed. Stated another way, she instantaneously realized that she had made an error in judgment and decided that she would not make the same error in judgment again. In truth, she now understood that she had involved herself in "binge drinking" and that even one instance of this form of careless and excessive drinking can result in death.
